First and foremost we would like to thank all of our clients and property owners in Playa Hermosa who donate funds every year to the Playa Hermosa Association for the improvement and benefit of all. Collectively we can always make a difference and continue the effort to improve our great little beach community in Costa Rica. Thank you. |
At RE/MAX Los Tres Amigos, we have compiled a professional team of seasoned and experienced real estate professionals that have the knowledge of the local market and surrounding areas better than any other real estate company in the area and skills to help you with any of your Costa Rica real estate and relocation needs. We also would like to be the first to welcome you to Costa Rica. We are located in beautiful beach town of Playa Hermosa Costa Rica, right in the center of Costa Rica's best real estate market. The northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica is experiencing a growth of real estate investment. Savvy investors are arriving daily to buy up property bargains. Baby Boomers and even those younger are realizing this is the place to be now and in the future when they retire.
Playa Hermosa is part of a group of beaches that make up what is known as the Golfo de Papagayo (Gulf of Papagayo). This area includes the towns of Playa Ocotal, which features some of the most amazing ocean views to Playa Coco, the central hub of entertainment, shopping and conveniences. Of course then there is Playa Hermosa, the home of our office with the hillsides dotted with single family homes and spectacular ocean views and Playa Panama tucked in the hill side of Bahia Culebra closest beach community to the airport and Hospital. Costa Rica is still very reminiscent of Hawaii in the 60s and 70s with active volcanoes, spectacular beaches and a great climate, with the addition of great communications and services.
Additionally, Costa Rica is recognized world-wide for its biodiversity, with over 5% of the world's plant and animal species. Although tourists have been coming here for years, just recently investors of all types from all over the globe are increasingly attracted to the peaceful lifestyle and excellent infrastructure that Costa Rica has to offer. Over the last few years, Guanacaste has been the focus of that investment, and most recently, the Gulfo Papagayo. The $18 Million dollar newly renovated Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia is only 20 minutes away, with daily flights from Delta, United, American, US Airways, Air Canada, Coopa Airlines, Jet Blue, Frontier and many international charter airlines as well, with plans for even more to come.
Add to that paved roads, municipal water, new developments, excellent private schools, first rate medical and dental services, great golf courses, world-class fishing and some of the best scuba diving worldwide, pristine beaches, and great surfing just an hour to the south. The Four Seasons opened their finest gem; a $350,000,000 resort with a CRGA rated Arnold Palmer Golf Course directly across the Gulfo de Papagayo from our beaches. Just up the road from our office 15 minutes away, is the Papagayo Golf and Country Club. A great community for those that want to live in a quiet location and on a golf course .There are currently plans for resort hotels to be built in the area of Papagayo including the Miraval Day Spa, Sol Melia Paradisus, JW Marriott (Which Opened in '10), Hilton (Opened '09), RIU (Opened Nov.'09), Westin, One and Only, Andre Agassi Resorts and the Hyatt which is under construction. Also, there are plans for another new marina located in Playa Del Coco. The Papagayo Marina, which opened Jan'09, is the jewel of them all, just adjacent to the Four Seasons. There are many reasons why the majority of investment is focused on the Papagayo area.
Here are six of the many basic reasons a majority of investors and retirees are making the move to this lovely region of Costa Rica.
LIFESTYLE: Imagine waking up in the morning completely relaxed and rested to tropical breezes and the sounds of monkeys howling in the trees and beautiful exotic birds singing their songs while dancing in flight from palm tree to palm tree, while you take in the aroma of that first cup of world renowned locally mountain grown coffee. After a healthy breakfast of fresh mango, bananas and papaya, you take you trustworthy companion on a leisurely walk to the beach and while the gentle surf passes over your feet as you gaze in amazement of the whales playing in the bay. It just does not get any better than this. There are so many different activities to pass the day, before heading off to watch the sun set over the Pacific from one of many beach front establishments or from the infinity edge pool of your own tropical getaway.
PROXIMITY TO AIRPORT: The new Liberia airport, (LIR is the airport code) located just 25 minutes from this area, and is expanding at an almost mind boggling rate. Its first year open, 2003, there were 3 weekly scheduled flights into Liberia, all with Delta. Now there are over 70, with almost all major airlines arriving from most major cities. Now tourists and investors can arrive in a matter of only hours to our area and be on the beach within minutes of exiting the plane. There are currently plans for massive development of the area around the airport, from a Hampton Inn to a Hilton Inn which has already opened and numerous malls and shopping centers. There is even speculation ofa large amusement theme park similar to Disney World.
PROXIMITY TO HOSPITALS AND MEDICAL CARE: There is a 400 bed state of the art hospital located just 35 minutes away in Liberia. There is currently another state of the art CIMA hospital and medical center directly across from entrance to the Papagayo gulf region, which officially opened in July of 2012. In addition another state of the art Clinica Biblica Hospital 1 mile past the Liberia International airport has been announced but start dates are not set yet.
WEATHER AND BEACHES: The Papagayo and the Northwest coast of Costa Rica has the best weather in the country, with over 320 days of sunshine. The beaches of the Papagayo are some of the best in the country, making them excellent for swimming without the fear of rip tides and monstrous waves. Snorkeling, scuba, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking and more water activities are very popular here in the area.
LARGE EX PAT COMMUNITY: The Papagayo area is known as a community of Americans and Canadians and Europeans. Many people choose this as their home or retirement as there are a number of foreigners that live here. If you do not Speak or understand Spanish, that's Ok as it is very easy to get around as the majority of locals speak English and other languages as well.
INFRASTRUCTURE: Due to all of the growth and development in this area, the Papagayo has some of the best roads in the country, 3G cellular service, with 4G on the way, high speed internet, as well as all of the comforts of home. There are dozens of restaurants in the area and shopping as well, and with all of the malls and marinas being built, those comforts will only increase.
